WHAT IS INFLAMMATORY BOWEL DISEASE?

Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) refers to many different chronic conditions or diseases that may be related, Such as Crohn's disease, Ulcerative Colitis, Bowel Cancer and Diverticular disease and many more. All diseases consist of inflammation of the wall of the bowel or intestines - hence the name - leading to the disfunction of the bowel. The inflammation and its consequences are different in the diseases. But they lead to the inflammation results in various degrees of abdominal discomfort, diarrhoea, and intestinal bleeding, and all diseases can result in serious digestive problems.
